ITINERARY

Day 0: Travel Day (Pre-departure)

Travel to Ha Giang city from Hanoi, Sapa, or other nearby locations. You can take sleeper buses or cars to reach Ha Giang, where the tour starts. If needed, the Alibaba Ha GiangLoop team can assist with arranging transportation.

Upon arrival, you can take a rest at my hostel (mixed dorm room, 24/7 check-in available).

Ha Giang Loop 3-Day Adventure

Day 1: Ha Giang – Thai An – Duong Thuong village – Du Gia

08:AM: Start with breakfast at our hostel in Ha Giang, meet the team and prepare for the trips (you will leave your big luggage at my hostel in Ha Giang)

Leave the city behind and enjoy the serene views of majestic mountains and tranquil villages.

We will head to a hidden waterfall where you can swim (depending on the weather)  and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos of the stunning rice fields, mountains, and valleys.

 Lunch will be served in Thai An Village, followed by a visit to different viewpoints with breathtaking scenic views.

In the afternoon, we’ll travel to Du Gia Village, where you will spend the night, surrounded by rice fields. Along the way, we will make stops at Sa Li Pass, Lung Ho viewpoints,… where you can admire terraced rice fields, breathtaking sceneries,…

5:00 PM: Arrive at Du Gia Village and check in to a Tay ethnic homestay. Rest and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this peaceful village.

Share a hearty family-style dinner with your hosts, immersing yourself in their warm hospitality.

Day 2: Du Gia – Bamboo Raft in Ngoc Long – Mau Due – M Slope – Meo Vac Town – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Skywalk – Dong Van Old Town

• After breakfast, we’ll visit Lung Ho Viewpoint for spectacular views before heading to Ngoc Long Village for a bamboo raft ride.
• We’ll have lunch in Mau Due, then continue to M Slope, known for its dramatic landscapes.
• Visit Meo Vac Town and cross the scenic Ma Pi Leng Pass. You’ll have the option to trek for panoramic mountain views at the Skywalk.
• In the evening, we’ll arrive in Dong Van Old Town for dinner and the chance to experience some local nightlife.

Check in to your hotel or homestay in Dong Van. Enjoy a relaxing evening walking around Dong Van Ancient Town.

7:30 PM: Dinner featuring local dishes, followed by a glass of “happy water” to toast a day well spent.

Day 3: Dong Van town – Yen Minh – Quan Ba – Ha Giang

Enjoy breakfast in Dong Van with mountain views. If it’s a Sunday, take the chance to explore the vibrant Dong Van Market.

Set out from Dong Van Town and get back on the road.

Continue your journey to Sa Phin Village, where you’ll visit the Vuong Family Mansion (Hmong King Palace) OR explore a nearby village.

Stop for lunch in Yen Minh Town.

Drive toward Yen Minh Town, marveling at the captivating mountain landscapes along the way.

Visit Lung Tam Village, where you’ll learn about traditional hemp weaving techniques practiced by the Hmong people.

Reach Quan Ba Heaven Gate at 1,500 meters above sea level. Enjoy a coffee break while taking in sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Pause at the top of Bac Sum Pass, a stunning gateway out of Dong Van Global Karst Plateau Geopark, Vietnam’s first geopark. 

Reach back the city behind and finish the tour at our hostel. You will say goodbye to the team and end the tour with memories of an unforgettable adventure.

While this itinerary outlines the general plan, at Alibaba Ha Giang Loop we are not strict about following a fixed schedule. There are various factors that may require modifications during the tour. We prioritize flexibility, adapting to the situation at hand to ensure a memorable experience.

NOTES FOR ALIBABA HA GIANGLOOP TOUR:

You will stay in our hostel the night before the loop in a mixed dorm room, with 24/7 check-in. Please ring the doorbell at the front desk when you arrive and a member of staff will show you to your dorm room. This is included in the price of the tour.

If you would prefer a private room, you may book a hotel close to us. We will come and pick you up the following day for the tour.

The day before the loop you arrive in Ha Giang, you can stay in my hostel. We only have dorm rooms, they are included in the tour. If you want a private room, you can book somewhere close (CHECK-IN 24/7 – JUST RING THE DOOR BELL)

 IF YOU ARRIVE BY SLEEPER BUS

The bus will drop you off at our hostel.. Please ring the doorbell at the front desk when you arrive and a member of staff will show you to your dorm room.

 THE NEXT MORNING 

Please be ready in the hostel lobby at 8:00am with your belongings for breakfast.

Please use this time to pay the remaining balance for the tour (by credit card/ cash) and enjoy your breakfast. The tour will start at 8.30am.

 BELONGINGS

You will leave your larger backpack/ suitcase in our hostel in Ha Giang (they will be stored in a secure room during your tour).

You will leave your big suitcase and big bags in my hostel (we have a safe room).

 THINGS TO BRING: Jacket, suncream, mosquito repellent, clothes (appropriate for the weather), a raincoat and a swimsuit. Please pack all of your belongings in a SMALL BAG. (PLEASE ONLY BRING A SMALL BAG).

The tour ends between 4-5pm on the last day
